On a lovely sunny day, the U9's took two evenly split teams down the A37.

Playing many new teams, both the Greens and Whites started solidly, winning their early group matches comfortably. The defensive line speed was a real strength, not giving the opposition time to get moving. Both teams looked to play for each other, and move the ball into the wide spaces resulting in plenty of tries spread around the squads.

The Greens came up against a big & fast Swanage & Wareham team who just edged out a great game, and they deservedly won the group. The Greens were then pipped by the single score to Castle Cary, finishing a very credible 4th overall.

The Whites dominated their group from start to finish, with the speed at which they moved the ball, and their defensive determination being a joy to watch. The faced Swanage in the final and never let the opposition settle, turning the ball over repeatedly with some big tackles. Saving probably the best performance for last, they ran out comfortable 4-0 winners.
