The last league game this season was preceded by a minute's silence as a mark of respect following the tragic news of the sudden death of coach Andy Croker in the week. Andy was a top-class coach and a lovely rugbyman. His impact on the playing style of James Stones's side is huge and he has been a major influence on the success his team have enjoyed this season. Our sincere condolences to his family at this difficult time.

With a strong breeze blowing across the pitch Yatton kicked off. Yatton came close after a lineout on the 22. From a lineout on the 22 Chew went the length with a simple draw and pass for fullback Zac Kavanagh to score in the corner. 5 - 0 in 7 minutes.

Centre Tom Garland pounced on a midfield error to score under the posts on 11 minutes. Centre Taylor Thatcher converted. 12 - 0.

Reece Carter at 10 made a half break off a midfield lineout and his offload put veteran No 8 Luke Sparkes Brown in. 17 - 0 on 15 minutes.

Yatton pressed when penalties gifted territory but a Stone turnover under his own posts saved a score.
Garland grabbed his second with a midfield step and go for the bonus point in 30 minutes Thatcher converted 24 - 0.

A counterattack and good handling put winger Lee Wedlake in on 37 minutes for Thatcher to convert. 31 - 0

Garland picked up a third on the end of a Kavanagh chip through on 41 minutes. Thatcher converted from out wide. 38 - 0

A strike against the head for Alfie Norbury on at hooker and a midfield break from Thatcher saw him ghost in from halfway and convert on 47 minutes. 45 - 0

Ollie Grimes at 9 kept a steady stream of possession to the backs and kept the Yatton back row honest with an eye for a gap.
Yatton were rewarded for sticking to the task with a try from a maul on the hour from Haydon Vowles in the row. 45 - 5.

Thatcher hit back from the restart after strong carries from Sparkes Brown and prop Sol Thompson. Thatcher converted 52 - 5.

Another SB turnover under the visitor's posts put Wedlake in for another on 65. 57 - 5.

Yatton pressed hard and made the defence work hard but a Stone interception and good hands put Wedlake in for his third on 73 minutes 62 - 5.

From the restart winger Thatcher Chipped over Yattons winger for a try. Which he then converted as a consolation 69 - 5.

After Wedlake had carried from his own 20 metre line Sparkes-Brown was on hand to collect his offload when he picked a defender to run at for a try on the stroke of time. Thatcher converted to take the score to 76 - 5 and bring the curtain down on James Stones successful captaincy spell.
