After the disappointment of last week's cup exit, the U14s got back to winning ways when we welcomed Midsomer Norton. All departments of Chew's game were positive and it was the team's ability to get the ball through the hands quickly and effectively that provided a telling difference. In addition, the forward platform was decisive with a number of scrums won against the head and good rucking enabling Chew to secure quick ball. Chew reached the break at 47-0 and continued to score well through the second half. In fairness Norton did not let their heads drop and kept giving it everything until the end and they were rewarded with a well deserved try for their efforts towards the end of the second half. We saw a decent display from Chew's kickers with a 66% conversion rate from the tee.
