Chew visited Keynsham on a day that offered great conditions for open rugby with sunshine and reasonable conditions under foot.

Kenysham proved to be strong opposition who were well organised and kept there shape and structure well, in spite of the game being punctuated by regular infringements from both sides. They proved very well able to move the ball wide and exploit the space, making the most of the conditions, cutting the Chew defence open to score some nice tries. This gave them a 17 v 0 lead at the break.

Chew were a good match for Keynhsam in the scrum and we saw some nice use of the boot from Rory Tebbutt. However, Chew did not move the ball through the hands well and lost their shape at times in attack which meant lost opportunities. Also, they spurned a number of attacking positions at the line out through turned over possession. There were moments when Chew found a spark with a penalty try created by Arthur Heard who was pushed off the ball when running through to score and Harley Tremlett using his strength to drive over a real forwards try.

Nevertheless, Keynsham ultimately deserved and were were well worth their victory.
